HISTORY
In July of 1971, Edwin and Marcia Trager envisioned a chain manufacturing company that specialized in quality handmade chains with a variety of styles, lengths and widths. Working in 14 karat gold, 18 karat gold and platinum their vision for a quality handmade chain company grew to include 25 crafts people of exceptional ability. They were at the forefront of the diversity movement as the crafts people included men and women of different races and religions and sexual preferences.
In July of 1971 Marshall Trager joined the company and by 1975 had been promoted to National Sales Manager. For the next 43 years the family grew the business to include clients in 32 states with a reputation for quality unmatched by any other chain manufacturer. In 1988 Carol Trager joined the family business as customer service manager. Her responsibilities grew to include quality control in the factory.
In February of 2018 Marshall Trager, having succeeded his parents as owner of Marcin Jewelry, created an alliance with Armbrust International which is the largest and oldest machine manufacturer of chains in the United States. Marcin Jewelry became the sole distributor of Armbrust International’s chains to the independent jewelers in the United States. Specializing in sterling silver, gold filled and 14 karat gold chains of many varieties in multiple widths and lengths, Marcin has established itself with many independent jewelers as the “go to” source for quality, service and variety.
